Abstract

Language style is a form of expression through ideas that can be conveyed through thoughts and feelings, both orally and in writing. Every wrote must be influenced by a writer to strengthen the content and creativity in choosing a language style when writing, such as making song lyrics, the researcher examined one of the song lyrics from the famous rock musician Guns N' Roses entitled “November Rain”.The purpose of this research is to describe the types of language styles found in the lyrics of the song november rain on the Guns N' Roses album and to find out the content of the message contained in the lyrics of the song november rain on the Guns N' Roses album. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Research on the lyrics of the song november rain on the Guns N' Roses album has found more lyrics that use comparative language styles especially. The lyrics of the song november rain on the Guns N' Roses album have a meaning that contains about sadness and complicated love. So, this research on the lyrics of the song november rain on the Guns N' Roses album found more use of comparative language style.
