Abstract
This study aims to reveal the urgency of soft skills development for students majoring in English Language Education in facing the increasingly competitive and dynamic job market. Utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach, this research analyzes essential 21st-century skills such as public speaking, interpersonal communication, leadership, time management, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship. The findings indicate that mastering soft skills not only strengthens students’ readiness as professional educators but also expands career opportunities beyond the formal education sector. Therefore, soft skills development should be an integral part of the curriculum and learning activities in higher education to ensure that graduates are adaptive, innovative, and globally competitive.
